Identity & access security

Protect the accounts attackers target first.

Most attacks begin with a stolen password or an approved sign-in prompt. Microsoft Entra lets you verify every sign-in, limit administrator power and remove access the moment it is no longer needed.

Overview

Identity is the new perimeter.

Your staff work from offices, homes and phones. Applications live in the cloud. The one thing every access request has in common is an identity — and attackers know it.

We design identity controls that are strong where risk is high and simple where it is not, so security improves without making everyday work harder.

  • Fewer account takeovers from stolen passwords
  • No standing global administrator access
  • Simpler, faster sign-in for legitimate users
  • Evidence of access control for insurers and auditors

Licensing disclosure

Licensing and availability

Feature availability depends on your Microsoft subscription, product plan and any add-on licenses.

Some capabilities require tenant eligibility, specific configuration or supported deployment environments.

Several services, including Microsoft Sentinel, Defender for Cloud plans and Copilot Studio, include consumption-based charges billed by Microsoft.

Preview features can change and are not recommended for production use without review. We identify preview status in our recommendations.

We do not publish Microsoft prices. Licenses are purchased from Microsoft or your licensing provider, and we confirm current entitlements before proposing implementation.

Questions

Common questions

We already have MFA. Is that enough?

MFA is essential, but attackers now bypass weaker methods through phishing proxies and repeated push prompts. Conditional Access, number matching and phishing-resistant methods for administrators close many of those gaps.

What is Conditional Access?

Conditional Access evaluates each sign-in — who the user is, which device they use, where they are and how risky the session looks — and then allows, blocks or requires additional verification.

Do you support hybrid Active Directory?

Yes. Many organizations still synchronize on-premises Active Directory with Entra ID. We secure both sides and help plan a move to cloud-only identity where it makes sense.
