AI security & automation

Adopt AI with your data under control.

Prepare for Microsoft 365 Copilot, govern AI agents and automate repetitive work — with permissions, data protection and human approval designed in from the start.

A small team discusses an automation idea around a laptop at a round table.

The business problem

AI makes existing permission problems visible.

Microsoft 365 Copilot answers questions using the content each user can already access. If files are overshared, Copilot can surface sensitive information to people who should never have seen it.

At the same time, employees adopt AI tools on their own, and new agents can connect to business systems with broad permissions. Without governance, AI adoption can create data exposure faster than it creates value.

What Simba Cyber does

Useful AI, secure by design.

We assess readiness, fix data access issues before rollout and build practical automations with clear owners, limited permissions and human approval where decisions matter. Every use case starts with a measurable business process.

  • AI readiness and risk assessments
  • Copilot data-access reviews and secure rollout plans
  • Governed agents and workflow automation
  • Adoption training and value measurement

Common use cases

How this works in practice

Representative scenarios that show how the service responds. They are illustrations, not client case studies.

Scenario

IT help desk triage agent

An agent answers common questions from approved documentation and routes requests it cannot resolve to the right person, with every action logged.

Scenario

employee onboarding automation

A workflow creates accounts, assigns training and notifies managers, with an approval step before access to sensitive systems is granted.

Scenario

policy knowledge assistant

Staff ask questions about internal policies and receive answers grounded in approved, labeled content only.

Scenario

compliance evidence workflow

Evidence requests are tracked, collected from owners and stored with consistent labels for audit preparation.

Business outcomes

What you can expect

  • Copilot rollout without unexpected data exposure
  • Clear ownership and permissions for every agent
  • Time saved on repeatable, measurable processes
  • AI use that leadership can explain to clients and regulators

Delivery methodology

How we deliver

  1. 01

    Discover

Identify candidate processes, data sources and risks, and agree how value will be measured.

  2. 02

    Prepare

Fix permissions, apply sensitivity labels and set DLP and usage policies.

  3. 03

    Pilot

Build a focused pilot with limited users, logging and human approval.

  4. 04

    Scale

Measure results, refine and expand with governance in place.

Scope and licensing considerations

Microsoft 365 Copilot, Copilot Studio and Agent 365 are licensed separately. Copilot Studio and some agent features include consumption-based charges.

Some agent governance features are in preview. We distinguish generally available capabilities from previews in every recommendation.

Questions

AI Security & Automation: common questions

Should we fix permissions before buying Copilot?

Yes. Copilot respects existing permissions, so oversharing becomes a real risk once it can search and summarize content. A focused data-access review is the most valuable first step.

Can AI agents act on their own?

They can be configured to, but we recommend human approval for any action that changes data, sends external messages or grants access. Agents should have their own limited permissions and a named owner.

How do you measure value?

We record how long a process takes and how often errors occur before the pilot, then measure the same things afterward. If the numbers do not justify scaling, we say so.
