Cloud & security engineering

Turn security gaps into working defenses.

Design, deploy and tune the controls your environment needs — from identity architecture and Azure security to logging, network protection and resilient backup.

The business problem

Assessments find gaps. Engineering closes them.

Many organizations have a list of security findings from an audit, an insurer or a penetration test. The hard part is turning those findings into secure, working configurations without breaking the systems people rely on.

Cloud adoption adds new questions: who can change production resources, which services are exposed to the internet and whether logs exist when you need to investigate.

What Simba Cyber does

Practical engineering with documented results.

Our engineers review your architecture, agree priorities and implement the changes — then document what was done and why. Work is scoped as defined projects or as ongoing engineering capacity.

  • Architecture and posture reviews with prioritized findings
  • Hands-on implementation of agreed controls
  • Change plans that minimize disruption
  • Documentation your team can maintain

Common use cases

How this works in practice

Representative scenarios that show how the service responds. They are illustrations, not client case studies.

Scenario

Closing penetration test findings

A test reports exposed services and weak administrative controls. We plan and implement fixes in priority order and provide evidence for the retest.

Scenario

Securing a growing Azure footprint

Several teams created Azure resources independently. We review posture in Defender for Cloud, restrict administrative roles and apply policies to keep new resources compliant.

Scenario

Ransomware-resilient backup

Backups exist but share credentials with production. We redesign backup access and retention so an attacker who gains administrator access cannot delete recovery points.

Business outcomes

What you can expect

  • Open security findings resolved with evidence
  • Fewer standing administrative privileges
  • Logs available when you need to investigate
  • Recovery options you have tested, not assumed

Delivery methodology

How we deliver

  1. 01

    Review

Assess architecture, posture data and existing findings against your business requirements.

  2. 02

    Design

Agree target configurations and a change plan with rollback steps.

  3. 03

    Implement

Make changes in stages, validate each step and communicate with affected users.

  4. 04

    Hand over

Document the configuration and connect ongoing monitoring where required.

Scope and licensing considerations

We engineer primarily on Microsoft Azure and Microsoft 365. Other cloud platforms are scoped case by case, based on the work required.

Defender for Cloud includes free foundational posture features. Advanced posture management and workload protection plans are billed by Microsoft.

Engineering projects have an agreed scope, deliverables and change process before work begins.

Questions

Cloud & Security Engineering: common questions

Do you work with AWS or Google Cloud?

Our core engineering practice is Microsoft Azure and Microsoft 365. Defender for Cloud can provide posture visibility across AWS and Google Cloud, and we will tell you plainly during scoping whether other work is a good fit.

Can you implement findings from another firm’s assessment?

Yes. We review the findings, confirm priorities with you and implement the fixes, providing evidence for any follow-up testing.

Do you perform penetration testing?

Penetration testing is not part of this service. We help you prepare for testing and remediate the findings.
